What to Expect in Christian Science Nursing Education
Our Christian Science Nursing education program consists of four progressive levels of training, allowing students to actively build their skills while deepening their understanding of Christian Science practice.
Throughout the training, you will:
Learn practical skills to support patients' needs for comfort, nourishment, mobility, activity, rest, communication, and cleanliness.
Develop skills and competency within an ethical framework based on the theology of Christian Science.
Work alongside experienced Christian Science nurses in a supervised setting.
Each level of training typically includes two components:
Classroom Learning: Foundational skills are introduced and then demonstrated with practical exercises.
Supervised Mentorship: Students work directly with patients (appropriate to the student’s level of competence) under the guidance of Journal-listed Christian Science nurses. The mentoring portion is also available to students who take the classroom portion of the training elsewhere.
