Christian Science nursing is a healing ministry based on the Bible and the teachings of Christian Science as found in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
Christian Science nursing is a Manual-based activity.
Christian Science Nurse. Sect. 31. A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in a sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick.
The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers. (Man 49:6-17)
Christian Science Nurses Education at Olive Glen
Christian Science Nurses Education using the Le Verger’s education program offers a comprehensive education program that covers all four levels (Levels I-IV) of Christian Science nurses’ education, including both classroom instruction and practical application through side-by-side mentoring and support.
Olive Glen’s instructors provide Christian Science nursing education to members of The Mother Church that have a “demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice” (Man 49:7-16) and wish to serve in the ministry of Christian Science nursing.
Our program begins with providing each Christian Science nursing education candidate with the Spiritual Dimension of Care seminar. The seminar explains Christian Science nursing as a Manual-based activity grounded in the Bible and the theology of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy.
Once accepted into Olive Glen’s program, each student is guided through Levels I-IV of Christian Science nursing education, starting with an introduction to Christian Science nursing and continuing through all four levels and preparation for Journal-listing.

The training program specializes in delivering one-on-one education courses and mentoring. The courses follow the AOCSN Core Topics and Objectives.

The Spiritual Dimension of Care seminar provides an interactive discussion about Christian Science nursing where you can ask questions and hear examples from experienced Journal-listed Christian Science nurse instructors at Olive Glen. The seminar is also a helpful first step for those thinking about entering the ministry of Christian Science nursing.
The seminar discusses the biblical basis and Manual provision for Christian Science nursing. This full-day presentation also discusses the history of Christian Science nursing and introduces participants to The Christian Science Nurse's Scope of Services, giving participants a clear understanding of what the care of a Christian Science nurse does and does not include. The seminar is suitable for large or small groups, including branch churches, in person, or via Zoom.
